At the right in this photo is my great friend and former roomie. I like to call her Meggies. This photo was taken in Cancun last year (I think? Time slips around on me...). The guy in the pool is a firefighter from somewhere in the Northeast. They drank cocktails in the pool and chatted for a while.
The quality to engage with any random firefighter or circus performer or grandparent is one of the things that I love about her. She is now an Outward Bound instructor. The other thing I love about her is her style. The mohawk in that photo is no longer, but she's still kickin' it... perhaps shaved? Perhaps some suspenders? Mmmmh. Love her.
